video design for 4.48 Psychosis | 2013

projection mapping, live video feed

I was approached by Rebecca Lingafelter (Assistant Professor at Lewis and Clark College) to come up with the video design for the Theater Department production of Sarah Kane’s play 4.48 Psychosis. The set design called for large scale projections, so the challenge I faced was to use the large projection surface without distracting from the play itself. I chose to work mostly with very abstract webcamera footage, to create a video texture. I then interspersed this footagewith live feeds of the actors in key moments.
